There are many ways of cooking brisket. It’s simply a matter of picking the method you think is most appropriate for your dish.

A Quick and Easy Brisket


  • Beef brisket (4 lbs)ž
  • Chili sauce
  • Soft drinks (1 can)
  • Dry onion soup (1 packet)


Turn on the oven and preheat to 300 F. Pour the soft drinks, chili sauce, and onion soup into a bowl. Mix them together.

Put some foil on the baking pan. Set the beef there. Sprinkle the mix you made over the brisket. Put a foil over it. Make sure the edges are covered with foil too. Bake in the oven (300 F) for 3 hours.

When you’re done cooking brisket, place it on a serving plate. Gather the juices in the pan and put them in a bowl. It will serve as the sauce.

Spicy Brisket


  • Brisket (4 lbs)
  • Liquid smoke (1 bottle)
  • A teaspoon of salt, garlic, and celery
  • Onion (1 medium piece, chopped)
  • Ketchup (1 cup)
  • Brown sugar (1/2 a cup)
  • Vinegar (1/2 cup)


Place the beef in a roasting pan. Spray the liquid smoke all over the meat. Put it in the fridge. Allow it to marinate overnight. Remove the pan from the fridge. Discard the liquid.

Season the beef with salt, celery, onions, and other ingredients. Turn on the oven at 250 F. Start cooking brisket and continue for five hours.

Afterward, get the juices from the pan. Sprinkle over the beef. Cook it again for another 60 minutes. Remove the brisket from the pan and cut into thin slices.

The ingredients mentioned here can make a dozen servings. This dish can be eaten and served up to the following day.

Tangy Brisket


  • Brisket beef (4 to 5 lbs)
  • Onion (1 large)
  • Celery (chopped)
  • Garlic cloves (2, chopped)
  • Peppercorns (8)
  • Seasonings: ½ teaspoon of bay leaf, pepper, and salt
  • Mustard (3 tbsp)Water (half a cup)


Start cooking brisket by putting the ingredients in a pan or pot. Allow it to simmer over a stovetop for 3 hours. Set the oven to 350 F.

Put the brisket in a roasting pan and pour the juices over it. Sprinkle it with some salt and pepper.

Mix the mustard and sugar. Glaze it over the beef. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the pan and rest it for 10 minutes. Cut into edible chunks before serving.


Store the brisket in a foil and in the fridge hours prior to cooking. This will make it easier to cut. Be sure that it is thawed before you start cooking it.

You can also use beer with brisket. In a bowl, add some onions, garlic, and the beef. Add some hot sauce over it. Spray the beer on the sides of the beef. Cover it with aluminum foil and bake at 275 F for four hours.
